Hi everyone! Let´s talk about last night. Around 8pm Michaela, Clara and I where like, “what tha heck lets go to IV tonight”. So we hurried up, and we only had about an hour to get ready! Shower, makeup, hair, planning outfit in mind while doing the makeup, getting dressed. Struggle, but we did it. You know, the fun thing is that spontaneous parties most likely turn out really fun; sometimes even more fun then planned ones. We met a lot of new cool people, and had a really fun night out.
Clara: U know what? We have boot camp tomorrow 8am.
Me: Dont even say it.
Yesterday I turned 20, wow how time flies! Can’t blame all the mistakes on being a dumb teen anymore. But no worries,20 years, there´s many more to be seen. Even though I’m halfway to 40, I got the whole life ahead of me.
My roomies surprised me with an amazing breakfast. Thanks girls for making my day so awesome!
The plan was to go get Italian, and everyone was craving pizza AF, so we ended up at Olio Pizzeria! Super good, and the Birthday girl got desert on the house!
Today is Friday, and for me that means no class. My roomie Clara and I went down to the La Playa track and had a little workout session, ran a few laps and finished it off with some core and lower body workout. I love being outside and just enjoy the nice weather, even though we´re still waiting for the real cali weather.
The past weeks I´ve completely cut out meat from my diet, and it´s really fascinating and interesting how your whole body feels after just one week. The reason I made this choice is not because it´s a healthier choice, but because of respect and care for animals. The meat industry it really terrible. Of course, this is a lifestyle, and it doesn’t happen overnight, but it´s a process.
After 6 months I finally decided to start a blog. It wasn’t easy, because when I do stuff like this I want it to be nearly perfect, and not half-hearted.
I have so much to tell you guys, and honestly I don’t know where to start. After 6 months living abroad, a lot have changed. I left my life at home in Norway and started a new life in California. Cali-life, college life, surf life.
Me chilling at grandmas like I always do. Every summer she gets her hammock, so I can lay there and chill and read the local newspaper.
The thing I miss the most after coming to the US is the Norwegian summer, and especially my village Fresvik. At summertime this is the most idyllic place I know. Why do we take things for granted? There are so many things we fail to realize the true value of until they are missing from our lives.
Enjoy the little things in life because someday you will realize they were the big things.
One of my favorite things to do is to go hiking with my dad. Every time is a new adventure. We also like to go a little extreme and challenge ourself.
