Waterfall

So…It´s been a while ago since last time. It´s been a lot of studying and it´s been a lot of partying hehe. Anyways, I really enjoy updating my blog and create stuff so I will try the best I can to keep up.

About a week ago Lise and I went hiking to Seven Falls and it was such a fun hike! I love being out in the nature. In fact, the more challenging, the better. This day we actually went straight from the beach to the mountains. How cool! Do you prefer beaches or mountains?

When everything goes wrong

Ever had one of those days where everything seems to go wrong? Like someone up above you is testing to see if you really want to have a good day. Today was one of those days.

I woke up super exited and all ready for LA. Then I got a text from Lise. The car we were supposed to rent had to be repaired (what??) so now what? We had to find another car rental, problem solved. Finally on the road, but the aux input didn’t  work so it was bad radio all day. Four Norwegian girls going to the Norwegian seaman church for Norwegian waffles. With our luck it was of course closed, so no waffles for us this time.
Even though it was a rainy day in LA,it was nice to just drive around. We went to the Griffith observatory to get a nice view of the city but it was so foggy that we couldn’t even see a single light. Better luck next time!

Five guys saved our day, though. Always a good idea with fries u know 😉

A little spontaneous

Hi everyone! Let´s talk about last night. Around 8pm Michaela, Clara and I where like, “what tha heck lets go to IV tonight”. So we hurried up, and we only had about an hour to get ready! Shower, makeup, hair, planning outfit in mind while doing the makeup, getting dressed. Struggle, but we did it. You know, the fun thing is that spontaneous parties most likely turn out really fun; sometimes even more fun then planned ones. We met a lot of new cool people, and had a really fun night out.

Clara: U know what? We have boot camp tomorrow 8am.
Me: Dont even say it.

Still cute and fab

Yesterday I turned 20, wow how time flies! Can’t blame all the mistakes on being a dumb teen anymore. But no worries,20 years, there´s many more to be seen. Even though I’m halfway to 40, I got the whole life ahead of me.

My roomies surprised me with an amazing breakfast. Thanks girls for making my day so awesome!

The plan was to go get Italian, and everyone was craving pizza AF, so we ended up at Olio Pizzeria! Super good, and the Birthday girl got desert on the house!

On the run

Today is Friday, and for me that means no class. My roomie Clara and I went down to the La Playa track and had a little workout session, ran a few laps and finished it off with some core and lower body workout. I love being outside and just enjoy the nice weather, even though we´re still waiting for the real cali weather.

The past weeks I´ve completely cut out meat from my diet, and it´s really fascinating and interesting how your whole body feels after just one week. The reason I made this choice is not because it´s a healthier choice, but because of respect and care for animals. The meat industry it really terrible. Of course, this is a lifestyle, and it doesn’t happen overnight, but it´s a process.   Processed with VSCO with b1 presetProcessed with VSCO with b1 preset

Hello world

After 6 months I finally decided to start a blog. It wasn’t easy, because when I do stuff like this I want it to be nearly perfect, and not half-hearted.

I have so much to tell you guys, and honestly I don’t know where to start. After 6 months living abroad, a lot have changed. I left my life at home in Norway and started a new life in California. Cali-life, college life, surf life.

Me chilling at grandmas like I always do. Every summer she gets her hammock, so I can lay there and chill and read the local newspaper.

The thing I miss the most after coming to the US is the Norwegian summer, and especially my village Fresvik. At summertime this is the most idyllic place I know. Why do we take things for granted? There are so many things we fail to realize the true value of until they are missing from our lives.

Enjoy the little things in life because someday you will realize they were the big things. unadjustednonraw_thumb_a4b

One of my favorite things to do is to go hiking with my dad. Every time is a new adventure. We also like to go a little extreme and challenge ourself.
